Back to the Future! Virtual Labs is an initiative by the Centre for Predictive Human Model Systems (CPHMS) and Dr. Tuli Dey funded by the 3rd IndiaBioscience Outreach Grant.

B2F is a four-part series that takes students on a virtual tour of laboratories working on cutting-edge and innovative technologies in biology, beyond traditional textbooks. The venture endeavors to specifically showcase scientific strides in India.

Each episode introduces the concept of a breakthrough biotechnology (organoids, organ-chips, computational biology or advanced imaging) explains its construction, explores the questions it helps address, and fosters interactions with scientists working in these labs.

The episodes are coupled with an informative workbook containing in-depth information and assignments. Students can take part in our B2F quizzes and Discussion circles (held virtually every other month) and compete for a chance to visit an exciting laboratory.

Episode 1: Wound-Infection-On-Chip

Episode 2: Mini Organs

Episode 3: Computational Biology

Episode 4: Advanced Imaging Techniques
